The BETA Group is named after the second letter of the Greek alphabet. The BETA Group is a group of administrative/executive assistants to chief executives throughout Tucson, AZ. Often called the second-in-command at their companies.
The BETA Group was started in 1988 by Anita Burg who was the administrative assistant to Thomas E. Evans Jr., then-president of Fidelity National Title Agency Inc. A core group of 12 people met every month for a year before opening the group up to membership.
The BETA Group encourages the networking between members to greater help the member agencies and the chief executives. The group also helps individually as members can grow professionaly with their involvement with the group.
